Yerukalas present a real challenge when it comes to documenting their history or historical dislocation, to be precise. Though these people give an impression that they were semi-nomadic from time immemorial, they must have become like that due to specific historical events or processes. The fall of one kingdom or loss of patronage would spark off a process of dislocation.
